If you have the iPad and you are dealing with anatomy on a regular basis, you should get this app, and any other by this company that are relevant to you. If you are debating about purchasing an iPad for school, buy one. Media tabs on many of the pins allow for demonstrations of motion that each bone and muscle are capable of, and adding personal notes let me customize my notes to include the mnemonic devices that I use to help me remember things. I look forward to downloading all of the apps from 3D4Medical, they are outstanding! Customizable pins and the ability to edit what pins are displayed make studying specific parts and functions so much easier. I have tried half a dozen other anatomy study apps, and I have since uninstalled all of them. This is the reason every student of the health sciences should own an iPad! I am presently studying anatomy for medical school, and this app is absolutely amazing! Without any other competition in terms of quality, clarity, and usefulness of the material, as this app stands alone! I have had the pleasure of using this for my studies, and I recently downloaded the Muscle System as well, and both are absolutely incredible. Added bonus: it was half the price of detailed flashcards from a local bookstore. I am in nursing school and had 3 weeks to learn the entire skeleton and this app is so helpful, interactive and fun. I emailed the developer, not only did he respond quickly, he said they liked the suggestion and would look to add that in a future release. I do wish they had a cross section for the interior bones in the skull. ✓ Fantastic way to learn the skeletal structure I LOVE THIS APP! The quiz is very helpful in learning the various parts and features of each bone and region. I'd recommend to anyone studying the skeletal system. The app's graphics are amazing and the information contained has helped me immensely. I have a few 3d4medical apps and this is one of my favorites - along with Muscle System Pro III. ✓ Indespensable I'm really glad I came suitably armed to my first year of med school with some great apps to help me study. The only thing I can think of right now that could make this app better would be the ability to integrate the skeleton, muscle and nerve apps into one unified whole. I believe the muscle app is next in line for a major update - I am hoping for similarly useful animations demonstrating muscle actions at joints. This will be a valuable educational tool for those of us working in the medical teaching field. The addition of animations demonstrating joint movements is particularly welcome. ✓ The best skeletal system app The new update makes this by far the best skeletal system app on this platform (and perhaps any given the tactile nature of the iPad interface). A must have app for anyone considering the medical profession, or anyone who wants to learn about the anatomy of the bones. ✓ Very useful This app is ideal for anatomy students. But warning for students if you have a hard time learning bones that you can't separate than I would recommend searching for a different app that allows you to do that :-/. ✓ Great This app would be even better if you could separate the bones otherwise its awesome!! Well done. Whether you are looking to study or just simply learn about the skeletal system, this is the app to get. ✓ Incredible App developers did a fantastic job with this. They should really have all of the systems in one app and let you unlock them through in-app purchases. However, with the add/remove layer buttons you get to see ligaments, bursae, synovial capsules, cartilage etc. ✓ More than it seems I got the muscle system app and I didn't see much reason to get the skeleton app because I already know the names of the bones etc. Skeleton System Pro III for Positive User Reviews
