There are digital versions available on IOS and Android. Because the board is laid out randomly each game, there is a lot of replay. It’s very family friendly and plays very quickly. Hey That’s My Fish is a great light strategy game. players count up how many fish they took. If there are two players, then each player will collect four penguins. Penguins can not jump over these holes, so each player must plan carefully to maximize the amount of fish they can take, planning their routes Each player will then choose a color of penguin to represent them throughout the game. This means that there is now a hole in the board. Once a penguin leaves a tile, they take that tile since it’s now “eaten”. Players take turn placing their penguins and once all are placed, they move from hex tile to hex tile, eating fish. The game is played on a field of hex-shaped pieces, each of which contains 1, 2, or 3 fish. In Hey, That’s My Fish, players take on the role of penguins who are trying to (unsurprisingly from the title and art work) eat fish. It’s quick to play (less than 20 minutes – most rounds I’ve played have been less than 15), quick to learn and teach, and appeals to a wide range of ages and tastes. A game that is intended to appeal to a wide audience should be simple to learn, simple to teach, have few rules, and should present interesting choices at every step. It comes recommended, but it's not one I play too often due to the set up.There is a sweet spot in game design, in my opinion. It's a cheap game to buy, if you transfer the tiles and penguins from the box to a small bag you can take it anywhere, making it an ideal game for holidays, not that the box isn't small enough to take away. As such, this detracts from the overall fun from what is a cracking little game. Description: In this fast playing game for the whole family, two to four players control hungry penguins. By the time we've set up and played a second game my son doesn't want to play a third due to the waiting time, compared to other abstract games we play like Santorini or Niya (aka Okiya). It takes almost as long to set up the game as it does to play it, due to how many tiles are needed and their small size. The biggest drawback comes from the set up. The game is great to look at and the penguin miniatures are full of character and add to the fun of the game, whilst the ice floe tiles have nice artwork with the three groups of fish coming in different colours to help distinguish them. It can also be vicious when players gang up to cut others off on small sections of ice floe. It may look like one, but Hey, That's My Fish! is not a children's game because of the various strategies that can be deployed. But he does develop his own strategies which is great to see and he has fun. Sometimes this bites him in the backside as the section I'm on contains a lot of fish that are now exclusively mine to collect. What he loves is not only strategically picking up as many ice floes with two or three fish, but also cutting off my penguins, causing them to be cut off adrift for the rest of the game. Hey, That's My Fish! is a fun little game that my son loves to play. Play continues until all penguins have run out of moves then players add up their tally of fish to find a winner. 1 Rules edit The game is about penguins trying to catch fish on the Antarctic. The game is for two to four players and is produced by American game company Fantasy Flight Games. Hey, That's My Fish is a 2003 board game designed by Gnter Cornett and Alveydas Jakeliunas. If a penguin has no moves left then it is removed from the game. A two-player game of Hey, That's My Fish in progress. As penguins move players collect the ice floe tile that they started their move from.
